CARA HOWARD IS A YOUNG FILM STUDENT AND FREELANCE FILMMAKER.
Hi! My name is Cara. I'm a filmmaker and photographer, however film is my main passion. I am a student in college and I am currently working on my A Levels. This website is a place for me to showcase some of my work, as well as a place to write and blog about my experiences. Thanks for checking it out!
I have been involved in various different film projects, my first short film was a short documentary about some amazing female paraclimbers, and currently it is on the BMC TV website. I have worked with the BFI Film Academy to create a short film with a group of other young people, and I am going to be working with many of them to make some more short films in the future! At the moment I am working for Clapperboard UK, which I am thoroughly enjoying.
I absolutely love film, and I will jump at the opportunity to work with other film makers, on their film projects. I have a wide set of skills, and have the knowledge to carry out various different roles on a film set, such as camera assistant/camera work, sound (including sound mixing) and lighting. I am also eager to work as a runner, I can work flexible hours and I work extremely hard. I direct many of my own short films in my spare time, however my aspiration as film maker is to work as a Director of Photography, as the cinematography aspect of films is the thing that interests me most.
